Chiefs Final Match this Sunday

On Sunday September 1, at 12.45pm in Tauranga, the HBHS 1st XV will play Tauranga Boys' College 1st XV to determine the regional winner of the Chiefs Competition and to decide which team will represent the region at national level. The team would love to see their loyal HBHS supporters cross the Kaimais to cheer them on as they take on the tough Tauranga team. The game will be televised live on Sky 064 The Rugby Channel with coverage beginning at 12.30pm. We look forward to covering the match and wish the team the best. Go HBHS!

The Trinity Guildhall music examination is an assessment designed to test an individual’s skill in playing an instrument or singing. It provides a range of grade achievements for all instruments and voice from the initial Grade 1 to 8. These examinations test not only the musician’s ability to perform and play music but also involve technical skills such as Aural, sight-reading and improvisation. It is entered by musicians from all over the world.

Class of Origin Champions

The winners have been found, bragging rights are secured, and the Class of Origin Champions can be revealed.  Today 927 became the Year 9 Champion and 1013 won the Year 10 competition.  Congratulations to the Year 9 and 10 Class of Origin Champions, and well done to the Year 10 leaders for their organisation of the competition.  Bring on 2014!

Class of Origin Junior Touch Tournament

It was class against class and mate against mate today on the back fields at lunchtime, as the 2013 Junior Inter-class Touch Tournament got underway today.  Each class fields a team to find out who will reign supreme in Year 9 and 10 at the end of the week, in a competition organised by the Junior Leaders.  The victorious 933 team are pictured at right.  Today's results are as follows:

Class of Origin Semi-Finals

Yesterday's wet weather touch was excellent preparation for today which was wetter still, but the finalists have been found.  In tomorrow's finals 927 will play 928 to find the Year 9 Class of Origin Champion, and 1013 take on 1026 to find the Year 10 winner.  The two champions will then face off to find out who the supreme Junior Class of Origin Champion for 2013 will be, and we will have the results here.   Today's results were as follows:
