HBHS Tennis Players Take out Waikato Tournament
The HBHS Tennis team (Captain of Code, Luke Hamilton, is pictured in action at right) had a very good day on the courts yesterday at the Waikato Secondary Schools Tennis Championships. In the Junior Singles, Jack Portegys prevailed over fellow HBHS player Daniel Andonov, and it was an HBHS one-two in the Junior Doubles, with Youssef Elwakil and Sean Trowern winning over Nicholas Goodman and Sam Lumsden. In the Intermediate Singles, Joshua Moorby took out the title, and in the Indermediate Doubles it was an all-HBHS final with Daniel Ju and Chris Riddell beating Charlie Hamilton and Bradley Parrott. In the Senior Singles, Luke Hamilton prevailed in the final, with Mitchell Davies and Xavier Casey third and fourth respectively. Congratulations to the team on such a dominant display, and thanks and congratulations to Mr Mike Erceg and Mr Jared Carpendale for their efforts and continued support of HBHS tennis.
