Please support our Charity Day this Thursday
This Thursday 28 November is the annual Charity Day, where students have the opportunity to dress in mufti and donate to worthy causes. The minimum payment is either two cans of food or $2, but additional donations are welcome. The cans off food will go to the local Combined Christian Food Bank to support Kiwi families in need this Christmas, and the cash will be donated to relief funds to help the victims of the devastating Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. We thank all of our HBHS families for their generosity and their support of these worthy causes.

I'm quite heavy for my age and height, so the people I'm fighting are often 17 or 18 and quite a bit bigger-looking than me. Sometimes my opponent is much more intimidating than me. I don't really mind - I just zone it out and box. Do what I've learnt.
Boxing is an unusual sport in that it's possible to get to the end without anyone apart from the judges knowing what the score is. How do you cope with that?
