World Champions!!
HBHS have won the Sanix World Invitational Tournament 15 - 11 over Paarl Boys' High School from South Africa in a thrilling come-from-behind victory achieved literally at the last minute. The final score was 15 – 11, with HBHS 11 - 10 down with two minutes to play when the birthday boy Viliami Tuipuloti came through to score in the corner! In the first half, Sevu Reece scored a try, kicked the conversion and then kicked a penalty to notch up HBHS’s first ten points in a truly heroic performance. After Viliami scored, the South African team kicked off and knocked it on to end the match and begin the HBHS celebrations!
On behalf of all of our HBHS family and friends, we congratulate the HBHS 1st XV on becoming the Sanix World Invitational Tournament Champions in 2014. We look forward to their return and to celebrating their wonderful achievement with them all. Kia Kaha, team!
