Winter Tournament Week Results from Day 4

As we head into the play-offs in Winter Tournament week we can always count on some interesting results, and the all-HBHS Galletly Cup in Blenheim definitely proved to be the pick of the bunch, with the Under 15A side beating the more senior 2nd XI Hockey team 3 - 2 in golden goal time to book a final today against the Westlake Boys' High School 2nd XI.  We will post the results of this and all of the other play-off action today as soon as it comes to hand.  The full list of results from yesterday's competitions follows and we congratulate all of our HBHS teams on their achievements so far.  Good luck to all of our teams playing today.  A special congratulations to our Badminton team on their second place at Nationals, and to Year 13 student Christopher Steeghs on his inclusion in the New Zealand Under 19 side heading to Peru next month.

Play-off for 9th - 12th vs Palmerston North Boys' High School won 19 - 17

Play-off for 9th - 10th vs Hastings Boys' High School today

Hockey 2nd XI (Galletly Cup in Blenheim):

Semi-final vs HBHS Under 15A lost 2 - 3

Play-off for 3rd and 4th today

Badminton (NZSS Nationals in Auckland):

Final vs Auckland Grammar lost 2 - 4

Final Result:  2nd place overall

Senior Basketball (Regional Qualifying in Rotorua):

Won against Te Puke High School 96 - 43

Won against Tauranga Boys' College 93 - 69

Today will play Rotorua Boys' High School and St John's College, need one win to qualify for Nationals

Quarter-final vs Kings College lost 0 - 2

Play-off for 5th - 8th vs Wellington College today

Hockey Under 15A (Galletly Cup in Blenheim):
