Winter Sports Finals

The HBHS 1st XV have qualified first in the Super 8 rugby competition, and will be competing for this title at home next weekend at 12pm.  They have their final away match on Saturday in Hastings, and will return home to defend their Super 8 title.  In other rugby news, the HBHS 2nd XV Black team (a.k.a. the Mighty Third XV) are still in the running to defend their Waikato 1st XV title and the Ian Foster Shield, and will be playing away against Te Awamutu 1st XV in the final round of regular play.  The team gave their season an almighty boost with a historic 22 - 15 win against St John's College 1st XV last weekend, and are hoping that a late surge of form will bring them home.  They may well have to contend with the HBHS Colts Team, who beat them this season and who now face a stern test in last year's runners-up, Cambridge High School, in their final round match.  Good luck to all of these teams, and see you on the sidelines!
