William MacErlich Memorial Trophy won by Argyle House

Yesterday to mark the end of the 2014 HBHS Rugby season, the annual William MacErlich Memorial match was played on the Number 1 rugby field between Argyle House and the 2nd XV Black team.  The match is an annual fixture to honour the memory of William MacErlich who died tragically after a brief illness in 2005, and who was a member of the 3rd XV Rugby team (as it was known then), a boarder at Argyle House and a member of the 1st XI Cricket team.  It was a high-scoring match that was played in the best of spirits, filled with running rugby, occasional dashes of brilliance, and more than a few entertaining moments.  The final score saw a narrow win to Argyle House, and the William MacErlich Trophy was duly presented to Troy Mitchell by Deputy Headmaster and Coach of the 1st XV team, Mr Nigel Hotham.  Congratulations to all of the boys on playing the match in such an exemplary fashion.
