Westpac Rescue Helicopter pays HBHS a visit

There was absolutely no missing the arrival of the Westpac Air Ambulance at interval today, as staff and students were literally blown away by the helicopter as it touched down on the Number 1 field.  Staff member Ms Greer Sydney, and Prefects Adam Cameron and Matthew Munro were on board, and HBHS Head Prefect James Parton was then able to present Rescue Pilot Mr Loren Haisley with a cheque for $1000 from last week's mufti day which was held to raise money for this essential service.  Students had the opportunity to check out the helicopter and get a look at a vehicle that has saved so many lives over the years it has operated.  Prefects Daniel Carson, James Parton and staff member Mr Barney Killian were able to ride the return trip to the hospital, a journey which was described by them all as "awesome".  We thank the Westpac Air Ambulance for visiting us today, and we look forward to continuing to support the service in years to come.
