Weekend Results Round-Up
There was a lot going on at and around HBHS this past weekend, and we have a number of successes to celebrate. On Friday our Motocross team headed across the Kaimais and came back with the Tauranga Tournament teams trophy, which they won from a field of over 300 riders. Our Senior Touch team has won pretty much every competition they have been entered in, and on Saturday they took out the Waikato Men's Touch Module. Our Rowing Squad had a very successful North Island Secondary Schools Regatta, winning 9 gold medals, 3 silvers and 3 bronze medals. This included winning the Under 18 Eight, with a crew consisting of Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 rowers. Finally, our Senior Debating team fell just short of the Waikato Secondary Schools final, losing to St John's College in a very competitive semi-final. Deputy Head Prefect Henry Yao was named as reserve for the Waikato team, and his fellow Deputy Joseph Licht was highly commended for his efforts. Congratulations to all of these boys on these results and thank you to all of the staff and parents who help make this happen.
