Waikato Bay of Plenty Mountain Bike Championships

HBHS put forward a team of eight Year 9 and 10 boys to compete in the Waikato Bay of Plenty mountain bike champs held on Wednesday 21^st May at Te Miro Bike Park. Overall 81 people turned up to the event from as far away as Taupo to compete. Race day ended up being very rainy, creating poor and sloppy conditions for riding, meaning race lines had to be rethought in the turning weather. Although Hamilton Boys had no podium finishes it was good to see friends succeed individually in their own categories. Our thanks to Mrs Hickman for providing the opportunity for us to compete.
