Thomas Simpson receives Top Scholar Award from the Governor General

On Wednesday 15 May, 2012 HBHS Dux Thomas Simpson (back row, second from left), along with the nine other best-performed candidates in the 2012 Scholarship examinations, received his Top Scholar Award from the Governor General, his Excellency, Lieutenant General, The Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae (front row, third from left) at Government House in Wellington. Also in attendance was the Prime Minister, the Honourable John Key (front row, fourth from left), and the Minister of Education, the Honourable Hekia Parata (front row, fifth from left). Congratulations to Thomas and the other students on this outstanding achievement, and on receiving the recognition that their achievements deserve.
