Theatre Sports success

On the 1^st of September at Waikato University, the annual regional theatre  sports final was held. Throughout the year, teams had been competing in round-robin tournaments with the top 4 teams, each from a senior and junior division, were selected to participate in the final. For the first time in the school’s history both the HBHS Junior and Senior teams made it to this highly competitive final.

The finals night was hugely entertaining with all schools proving their immense talent. Boys’ High enjoyed outstanding results with the junior team (Joshua Devlin, Nicci Rich, Liam McGuire and Edward Howell) coming 1^st equal with St. Johns in the Junior competition, and the senior team (Morgan Hopkins, Stephen Burroughs, Patrick Lynch and Max Mitchell) gainied a hugely successful 2^nd place. Given that it was the team’s and the school’s first ever appearance in a Senior Final it was a highly commendable result.
