The KidsCan Charity Run 2016

We say it every year, but every year it is true, the HBHS KidsCan Charity Run is one of the most eagerly anticipated and enjoyable events on the school calendar.  This year we raised $7600 and counting for KidsCan, an organisation that helps the estimated 300 000 Kiwi children who go without the basics that so many of us take for granted - a warm home, good food and suitable clothing for starters.  The money raised by HBHS stays local, so every cent will go to children in the Waikato who need it most.  Thanks to all of the staff and students who took part and helped manage and organise the run.  A special thank you to Mr Pat Cheyne for all of his hard work as the leader of this event, and to Fulton Hogan for their help with traffic management to keep our students safe.  We wish all of our HBHS family and friends a happy holiday break and we will see you back in Term 2.  Students, don't forget that the first day of Term 2 is a teacher only day, so we will see you on Tuesday 3 May.
