The KidsCan Charity Run 2015
The KidsCan Charity Run was held today to mark the end of the first term, and HBHS staff and students entered wholeheartedly into the spirit of the event, which has become one of our eagerly anticipated fixtures on the school calendar. Runners and walkers donned costumes and took to the streets and the river bank down to Cobham Drive and back to raise money for KidsCan, a charity that helps to provide the basics for the estimated 250 000 Kiwi kids who go without things that we take for granted. Money raised locally is spent locally, and at the beginning of the day, HBHS had already raised $6200, a figure which was certainly added to today. Thank you to everyone who contributed today, and to everyone who worked so hard to make the run so successful. A special thank you to Mr Pat Cheyne for leading the way, and to the Service Committee for all of their support. We wish all of our HBHS family and friends a happy and safe Easter break and we look forward to seeing you all in Term 2.
