The Hamilton District Sports Awards Evening

Last night the Hamilton District Sports Awards were held, and HBHS staff and students were celebrated for their achievements.  Mr Chris Kuggeleijn was recognised for his services to cricket, from schoolboy level through to New Zealand representation.  Mr Richard Petherick was named Community Coach of the Year, and the Old Boys Hockey team he coaches was named Club Team of the Year.  HBHS students dominated the boys secondary schools, with five of the six finalists for the School Sportsman of the Year being from HBHS.  World Youth Rowing silver medalist, and 2018 HBHS Sportsman of the Year Campbell Crouch was named the winner.
