The Archery Report
Teacher in Charge of Archery Dr Natalie Blackburn reports on the progress our students have made in this new but fast growing code at HBHS:
Congratulations to Liam Heaphy who placed second in his first-ever field archery tournament at the National Field Archery Association national competition in June. At the competition, he scored a "Robin Hood", shooting one arrow through another. Liam took up the sport of field archery in January, and was competing against national and international competitors. An impressive achievement!
In the Interschool Archery Competition, a number of HBHS students achieved impressive results. Daniel Oosterwijk placed first in the Open Recurve section of the secondary school male division, while Joe di Leva placed 7th in the Limited Recurve section.
Congraluations to these boys on their achievements, and thanks and congratulations to Dr Blackburn for all of her efforts in this sporting code.
