Talent to Burn at HBHS HGHS Talent Quest

Last night in the HBHS Hall, as part of Spirit Week, the HBHS Prefects and staff members Mr James Sutherland and Mr Adrian Botting staged a combined Boys' High Girls' High talent quest.  There were 10 competing acts, showcasing a mix of dance and music skills, and there was some incredible talent on display from both schools.  While the judges deliberated, the much-anticipated Prefect showdown took place between the two schools, with the HBHS Prefects (pictured) performing first and busting out enough dance moves to take the competition from the HGHS Prefects.  The talent quest results were, in 3rd place guitarist Krishn Naicker-Duggal, in 2nd place dance crew Triple Threat, and in 1st place Amelia Penfold with a stunning rendition of a favourite Ed Sheeran song.  Honourable mention also to Liam Crowley for his performance of a Coldplay song.  Thanks to all of the organisers and competitors, and to guest judges from Melville High School, Head of Music Mr Trevor Faville and Head of Drama Ms Kathleen Christian.
