Super 8 and National Touch Champs
Seven Hamilton Boys’ High School Touch players represented New Zealand recently in their age-group categories (U15 and U17). The boys travelled to Australia to play in an international tournament during the weekend of the 22nd-23rd September. The players included: Teina Courtney, Chey Riki-Hamana, Caleb Korteweg, Kalani Beattie, Te Rongopai Murray, Mattie Landsdown and Te Maire Martin.
Super 8 Competition
HBHS took out the Super 8 Touch Championships after beating Rotorua Boys’ High School 8 – 2 in the final. This finals were held on Sunday 23 September in Rotorua. The winners were described by their coach Mr Kirkham as a really young team, as five of our premiere team were representing New Zealand in Australia during the competition or playing for the NZSS National Rugby team.
