Summer Tournament Week Results Update

The 2015 Summer Tournament Week is going very well for our 1st XI Cricket and Senior Softball teams who are tracking nicely at this stage, with our 1st XI Cricket team playing in the Gillette Regional Qualifying Finals at Seddon Park today.  On Monday the team beat St John's College by 239 runs and followed this up with an 80 run win over Hillcrest High School on Tuesday.  On Wednesday HBHS beat Whangarei Boys' High School by 8 wickets to face St Paul's Collegiate in the finals today.  The winner of this match will qualify for the National Tournament in December this year.

Our Senior Softball side are playing in the Division 2 National Tournament in Palmerston North and are also making excellent progress.  On Monday HBHS beat Gisborne Boys' High School 3 - 0, but were pushed to the limit in their second match by Wairoa College, just winning 7 - 6.  On Tuesday they came back very strongly with a massive 15 - 0 win over St Peter's and a 10 - 0 victory over Freyberg High School to finish top of their pool.
