Summer Tournament Titles and Results

Our final set of results from Summer Tournament Week 2016 are in and we begin by congratulating Danyon Hardie (pictured right) on his New Zealand Secondary Schools Under 16 Open Water gold medal won at Queenstown.  Bradley Cullen also won two bronze medals at the multisport event, in the Under 19 Individual Triathlon, and the Under 19 Aquathon (1km swim, 5km run).  Our softball team finished in 4th place overall, after losing 5 - 0 to St John's College in their final match.  Our Junior Futsal team finished their tournament with two wins, over Scots College Wellington (5 - 0) and St Peter's College Auckland (5 - 4) to finish in 10th place overall, and our Senior Futsal team lost to Mount Albert Grammar School (6 - 4) then beat St Bede's College Christchurch (10 - 2) to finish in 9th place overall.  We ended the week off with a Waikato title in Lawn Bowls, with Christopher Goodwin and Alex Le Comte winning the Pairs event.  Congratulations to all of our athletes on their fine efforts representing our school, and thanks to all of the teachers, parents, coaches, managers, supporters and friends who helped them to get there.
