Strawbridge Cup returns to HBHS

HBHS Under 15B, coached by Hemi Coates and Pat McFetridge, has returned the Andrew Strawbridge Cup (Waikato Under 15A Competition) to Boys' High after an undefeated season. The team played 'above' their ranking and enjoyed a particularly successful year using the strengths of each individual and clear strategies to win each game.

Andrew Strawbridge is an Old Boy and ex-staff member of HBHS.  The Chiefs recently signed him as third assistant coach, focussing on skills work.  Strawbridge is a former Waikato outside back who played 131 games and scored 646 points for the province. Prior  to his Chiefs appointment, he has been the Auckland assistant coach in the ITM Cup, and a teacher at Cambridge High School.
