Springbok Silver for HBHS Four

It was a hard-fought race, and the HBHS Under 18 Four were in the running for the Springbok Shield throughout, but the St Paul's Collegiate crew were simply too fast, and the HBHS crew took the silver medal in the penultimate race yesterday.  Overall, the first day of finals racing at Lake Karapiro saw HBHS crews pick up gold and silver medals across a range of age groups, with gold medals won by the Novice Eight and the Under 15 Eight.  Taking home silver medals along with the Springbok Four were the Under 16 Quad and the Under 17 Eight.  In other results, the number 2 Under 15 Eight finished 5th in the A Final, the number 2 Under 18 Four finished 4th in the B final, the Under 16 Quad finished 8th in the A Final, the Under 16 Four finished 4th in the A final, with the Under 16 number 2 crew finished 2nd in the B Final, the Under 18 Novice Double Scull finished fifth and the Under 18 Quad won the B Final.  We head out today for the final day of racing, with the AON MAADI Eight scheduled to race at around 5pm today.   We will keep you posted and wish all of our crews the very best of luck.
