Sports Results Update

Today's Senior Assembly was the ideal time to catch up on the achievements of our HBHS athletes and sports teams.  On Monday 29th of May our Cross Country team headed to Tauranga to compete in the Super 8 competition and finished in third place overall.  Individual results of note include Oliver Gordon (pictured) finishing first in the Year 9 event and Bradley Cullen finishing in second place in the Senior race.  On Wednesday 31st May our Duathlon team competed in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Team Championships, with Max Walshe (Year 10) and Harry Russ (Year 10) finishing in third place in the Under 16 Division, and James Havill (Year 9) and Reuben Lawrence (Year 9) also finishing third in the Under 14 Division.  Earlier in May our Cycling team competed in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Road Cycling Championships and came away with impressive results which included two first places, to Noah Costar (Year 12) in the Under 19 race and Lachlan Robertson (Year 12) in the Under 17 event.  In addition to this, Samuel Cook (Year 12) finished second in the Under 19 race and Fergus Washington-Smith finished third in the Under 17 race.  Finally our Motocross team had a fantastic day of racing on Saturday 3 June at Patetonga, finishing first overall, with Seton Head (Year 11) finishing first  in the 15 - 19 Years 125cc, Jack Dunlop (Year 10) finishing third in the 12 - 14 Years 125cc and Josh Clausen (Year 11) finishing in fourth place in the 15 - 19 years 250cc.  Congratulations to all of these boys on these excellent results.
