North Island Cycling Championship Wins
Scott Creighton (Year 13, U20) and Sam Dobbs (Y10, U15) are the fastest cyclists in the North Island, in their respective classes. The HBHS Senior A team (of which Creighton is a member) came first out of 36 teams entered in the competition on Saturday. Racing conditions were superb, and the competition amongst riders from schools like Auckland Grammar and Mount Albert Grammar was especially fierce.
We are pleased to report that Danyon Inwood and Boris Clark came fifth and sixth respectively in the U17 race, and that a number of HBHS riders placed well. The Junior A team came seventh overall in their class, and overall, despite competing against larger squads, HBHS came fourth in the North Island on points.
We congratulate the teams, Mr Hardaker, and the parent supporters who have followed the boys’ season so closely. We will keep you posted on National competition results as they come to hand.
