New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Results
In December 2014, as the bulk of us were getting ready to go on holiday, the HBHS Athletics team headed down to Whanganui to compete in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Championships. The following is the full list of results, and we congratulate all of our HBHS medal-winners and competitors on their fine achievements. Thanks also to the staff and parents who supported the team and provided the results and photos which will feature in the Term 1 edition of the High Achiever.

3rd Senior boys High Jump 1.96m which equals our school record
4th Senior boys Long Jump
Jacob Phillips AWD
1st 400m (new record) 1st 200m 1st discus 2nd shot put
Harry McLean
3rd 3km road race and PB to reach the semi-finals of the Junior boys 800m
Oliver McLean
23rd Senior boys road race
Harry Grant
10th in the hurdles
Cameron Swales
PB of 1m 58 secs in the senior boys 800m
Jacob Priddey
3rd Senior boys 3000m
Taylor Wynne
PB of 23.61 in the 200m

4th Junior boys 3000m

1st Senior 100m and had to withdraw from further competition with a hamstring injury.
