New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships Sept 15-17 2017
A total of 17 swimmers competed over the previous weekend to their great credit. HBHS finished 4th overall for boys' schools with 494 points. Points are given for swimmers who place in the top 8 in their age group. Those groups are 13, 14, 15 years and 16/over.
James-Hardy Rorimpandey 14yr – competed in 5 individual events and 1 relay. Best individual result: 11th 200m IM
Corwin Broekhuizen 15yr – competed in 9 individual events. Best result: 10th 200m breast
Jeremy Doig 15yr – competed in 6 individual events and 2 relays. Best result: 6th 15/U 200m Freestyle Relay A Team
Ashe Wainui-Mackle 16yr – competed in 6 individual events and 1 relay. Best result: 9th 16/O Medley Relay B Team
Brad Cullen 18yr - “Cameo” appearance B Team Medley Relay
Tyrell Priddey 17yr – competed in 3 individual events and 16/O 200m Medley relay B team
Sam Ratima 16yr – competed in 16/O Medley Relay B and Silver Medal 4 x 50m Freestyle A Team
Jaxyn Mihaka 16yr – competed in 8 individual events and 2 relays. Best result: Silver Medal x 2 for Medley and Freestyle A Team relays
Caleb Parsons 15yr – 6 points. 8 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual result: 8th 50m Back
Max Roberts 13yr – 8 points, competed in 3 individual events. Best result: 7th 200m Breast
Logan Bigwood 17y – 14 points - competed in 8 individual events and 1 relay. Best individual results: 7th 200m Breast and 8th 100m Breast
Carlos Hardie 13yr – 18 points, competed in 8 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: 6th 200m Breast, 7th 200m Free and 9th 50m Free
Caleb Thomas 14yr – 24 points, competed in 7 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: 6th 200m Breast, 7th 400m Free and 8th 200m Back
Calib Wilson 13yr – 26 points - competed in 6 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: 6th 100m Free, 6th 50m Free and 8th 50m Fly
Ciaran Watson 13yr – 41 points – competed in 8 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: Bronze Medal 50m Fly, 5th 100m Fly, 8th 50m Back, 8th 200m Free
Jack Bruning 14yr – 75 points, competed in 11 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: Gold Medal 50m Breast, 4th 100m Breast, 5th 200m Breast, 5th 100m Fly, 7th 50m Fly and 8th 50m Back
Danyon Hardie 16yr (16/O) – 75 points – competed in 10 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: Bronze Medal 200m IM, 4th 200m Fly, 5th 50m Free, 6th 400m Free, 7th 50m Back, 7th 100m Back and 8th 200m Free
Andrew Jeffcoat 18yr (16/0) – 147 points – competed in 8 individual events and 2 relays. Best individual results: Gold Medal 200m Back, Silver Medal 100m Back, Silver Medal 50m Fly, Bronze Medal 50m Back, Bronze Medal 100m Free, Bronze Medal 100m Fly, 4th 200m Free, 4th 200m IM and Silver Medals x 2 for Medley and Freestyle relays
