Junior Teams make their mark

Our Year 9 and 10 teams have been achieving some impressive results this week, with the all-HBHS final of the Waikato Under 15 Rugby competition being contested on the Number 1 field no less between the McKenzie-Quigley coached Under 14A side and the Cooley-Steele Under 15B team.  The match attracted a sizeable crowd despite the torrential rain and seniority prevailed in the end with the Under 15B team winning 18 - 5.  In other junior team news, the Hockey Development A side, coached by Mr Charlton Thompson, who memorably saw off the HBHS 2nd XI at Tournament Week last year, pulled off a stunning 4 - 0 win over the St Peter's Cambridge 1st XI in their Midlands Hockey division this week.  Congratulations to these teams on their efforts and we wish them, and all of our HBHS sides, the best of luck as they head off to their various Winter Tournament venues next week.  We will keep you posted with updates as they come to hand.
