Josiah Natzke wins New Zealand Motocross Title

HBHS has another national champion, this time in Motocross.  Josiah Natzke (pictured on the right) picked up his latest trophy during the April school holidays.  Teacher in Charge of Motocross, Mr Nathan Vassella, reports on the competition...

The New Zealand Junior Motocross Championships were held in New Plymouth during the school holidays. The championships were held over three days with each rider having to qualify and compete in five races. Josiah Natzke, a Y10 Hamilton Boys’ High School student, rode extremely well and won all of his races by a considerable margin. He now holds a National Motocross title in the 12-14 year old 125cc class. Jacob Steel (pictured on the left), a Y12 Hamilton Boys’ High School student, also had a very successful campaign and rode hard to secure second place in the 13-16 year old 85/150cc class. Both of these results are very impressive due to the depth of competition in attendance at the event. Hamilton Boys’ High School congratulates both of these students on their excellent achievements.
