Jared Gray wins Under 19 Cycling World Championship Gold Medal

HBHS student Jared Gray, competing in Switzerland as a member of the New Zealand Cycling Team, has just won a World Championship gold medal in the Under 19 Four Man Team Pursuit event.  In winning this medal the team broke the Age Group World Record, and if this is not extraordinary enough, the time they won the event in would have placed them fifth at the 2012 London Olympics.  Jared also finished a creditable 10th in the Individual Pursuit event.  We congratulate Jared on this outstanding achievement, and we look forward to celebrating his achievements with him once he returns from Europe.
