Israeli Ambassador Yosef Livne visits HBHS

The Israeli Ambassador, His Excellency Yosef Livne (pictured (centre), with Mrs Hassall and Deputy Head Prefect Alex Kennedy) was  the guest of honour at today's Year 11 Assembly where students had the opportunity to hear about some of the advances in science and technology being made in Israel.  Developing new technologies and investing in new developments in these fields are priorities as Israel aims to be at the forefront of scientific advancements.  Year 13 student Alex Kennedy also spoke at the assembly, having witnessed some of this first hand having attended the World Science Conference - Israel in August of this year.  Students had the opportunity to speak further with Mr Livne and to find out more about the Science Conference in a question and answer session in the school library at interval.
