Henry Yao wins Waikato United Nations Speech Competition

Deputy Head Prefect and Leader of the Academic Committee, Henry Yao, has created HBHS history by winning the United Nations Association of New Zealand Speech Competition, Waikato Branch, last night.  This is the first time that a student from HBHS has won this award in the competition's 22-year history, and as you can see, the inaugural winner of the competition in 1997 and then in 1998, was Jacinda Ardern.  Henry is now off to Wellington to compete in the National Competition and we congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.
