Hamilton BHS 1st XV in Japan

Game report on warm-up game versus Fushimi Technical High School as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.

Although it was a warm-up game, being part of their anniversary adds an extra importance to the match especially for Fushimi.
Fullback Henare Hira scored early from broken play and then again soon after from slick passing in the backline. No 8 Kallum Andrews showed his powerful running by also scoring twice in the 1st half with 2nd 5 Josh Fa`agalu adding a try. 1st 5 Josh Smith kicked well adding 4 conversions. Fushimi answered with a try of their own from a well worked backline move. Halftime score 33-5.
The 2nd half was a repeat of the 1st with Hamilton scoring 7 tries to Te Wehi Wright (2), Jesse Dodunski (2), Hugh Blake (2) and Isaako Peato. Russ Parai added 3 conversions. Fushimi never gave up and were rewarded with another try from a charge down. Young centre and Grassroots Trust player of the day Regan Ware ran and tackled strongly when he came on and forwards Adam Burn and Hugh Blake stood out in the forward pack.
