HBHS win Waikato Sevens Rugby Competition

The HBHS Gold Sevens Rugby team has qualified for the National Condor Sevens Tournament, to he held in Kelston on November 29 this year, with a series of impressive wins at the Waikato Tournament held last weekend.  Despite the tricky weather conditions, the HBHS team was able to notch up some big scores, with a 17 - 7 win over St Peter's and a 44 - 0 thumping of Te Wananga O Aotearoa in pool play.  They then beat St Paul's Collegiate 17 - 5 in their semi-final and finished with a dominant performance in the finals, beating St John's College 38 - 10.  The team will head to Kelston with much to play for, as interest in the Sevens tournament and code has never been greater, with a record number of teams competing, and with Sevens Rugby making its debut appearance at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.  With much to play for, we wish the team the very best of luck.
