HBHS win Regional Chemistry Competition

Last night, 51 teams from secondary schools in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region competed in the University of Waikato Chem Quest Quiz and one of three HBHS teams took out the competition. Year 12 students Jordan Sahlie, Nicolaas Portegys and Codi Merito proved that they were the best in the region, answering a range of questions that tested their knowledge, analytical ability and thinking skills on all things Chemistry. A second team of Year 12 students, Adam Cameron, Patrick Webb and Daniel Carson placed fourth in the same competition. Congratulations to all of these students and to teacher in charge of Chemistry Mr Graham Billing on winning another Chemistry competition in 2013.
