HBHS students selected for the New Zealand Karate team

Year 10 students Liam Singer (below left) and Raukawa Jefferies (below right) have been selected for the New Zealand Karate team which will compete in the World Gojuryu Tournament in November.  They have been competing in a number of tournaments this year and have won medals with Liam winning two gold medals in the International Sugihara Cup in Auckland and Raukawa also coming away with a gold medal.  The boys have also competed internationally, and Liam won a bronze medal at the Australian Open secondary Schools Tournament.  We congratulate these students on these achievements and will be following their progress in November as they take on the rest of the world.
