HBHS players star in National Age-Group Tournament win

Year 9 student Cayden Buitendach, seen here collecting the Eben Wilson Memorial Prize for Excellence in Year 9 from Mrs Hassall, is one of four HBHS football players who featured in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Under 14 team's undefeated run at the National Age Group Tournament.  Cayden, along with Sopharachwathanak Bee Hong, Conor Jamieson and Ben Wallace, helped the team defeat all seven competing provinces in round-robin play, and contributed three goals (which included the first and last goals the team scored in the tournament), as did Sopharachwathanak Bee Hong.  We look forward to celebrating this success with the school next year, and congratulate all of these boys on their efforts.
