HBHS in the medals at the Waikato Bay of Plenty Athletics Championships

The HBHS Athletics team came away from the Waikato Bay of Plenty Athletics Championships, held at Porritt Stadium last weekend, with 9 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals.  Highlights include Ty Hilton taking out the sprint double, winning 2 gold medals in the Senior Boys 100 and 200m, with a near-record time in the longer distance.  Joseph Morgan won gold in the Intermediate Boys 1500m and a silver in the 800m, Liam McKee also won gold in the 300m Hurdles and silver in the 400m, and Caelys-Paul Putoko won gold in the Junior Boys 100m and, along with Boaz King and Jahmal Enright, gold in the 4 x 100m relay.  Congratulations to all of our competitors on their efforts.
