HBHS hockey teams win big before tournament week

The HBHS 1st and 2nd XI hockey teams will be encouraged by their form as they head into the New Zealand Secondary Schools Winter Sports Tournament Week, as both teams notched up impressive victories in their respective Waikato competitions last night. The 2nd XI begain by beating St John's 1st XI 6 - 1, and the 1st XI then put St Paul's 1st XI away with an 8 - 1 win. The 1st XI head off to the Rankin Cup in Wellington in some of their best form in recent years, and we wish them and the 2nd XI well as they chase national honours.
