HBHS has left the building! The 2013 Charity Run for Life
The annual HBHS Run for Life has quickly become one of the favourite events in the school calendar, and this year nearly 2000 staff and students took to the streets of Hamilton to raise money for the KidsCan charity. The circuit is just over 6km in length, and takes the runners, walkers and unicyclists down along the Waikato River, across the Cobham Street Bridge and back up to the Rowing Club. This year the school is proud to have raised $8100 and counting for KidsCan, a charity that supports children living in poverty in New Zealand and gives them all of the opportunities that so many of us take for granted in our country. A special thank you and congratulations must go to Mr Pat Cheyne, the teacher in charge of the Run For Life, and his team of marshalls and to Fulton Hogan for their support with traffic management.
