HBHS Triathletes Dominate WBOP Teams Competition
The HBHS Triathlon Team followed up on their form in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Individual competition with a truly dominant effort in the Teams competition held at Lake Karapiro on Tuesday. It was an HBHS one-two in each age group event, with every athlete coming away with a medal. In the Under 14 event, Danyon Hardie, Timothy Ng and Samuel Cook won gold, with Logan Bigwood, Matthew Cranefield and Jeremy Stockdill taking the silver medal. In the Under 16 event, Leyton Bradford, Oliver Ng and Bradley Cullen won gold and Lochlainn McGall, Matias Fitzwater and Samuel Cook won silver. In the Under 19 event, Joshua Ion, Ryan Christensen and Cameron Swales took the gold, with Carter Edgecombe, Nick Reddish and Leon Arcus bringing home the silver.
