HBHS Shaves For a Cure
The staff and students crowded into the school hall last Friday to watch as staff and students sacrificed their hair for the very best of causes as the HBHS Shave For a Cure fundraising campaign came to an end. Twenty students and staff had promised that they would dare to bare their heads if fundraising targets were met, and after a last-minute flurry of donations and pledges, it was "shave on". Deputy Head Prefect and Leader of the Service Committee Matthew Munro (seen here leading by example) announced that as of yesterday HBHS had raised $6614 to donate to Leukemia and Blood Cancer in order to help fight these diseases and aid people living with cancer. HBHS thanks all of our family and friends who donated to this cause, and would like to thank the students and staff who put their hair styles on the line. A special thank you to Hillcrest Hair Design for their support and expertise.
