HBHS Senior Touch Team win National Championships

Congratulations to the HBHS Senior Touch team on their National Championship win in Auckland yesterday.  Semi-final action on Sunday was very tight, with HBHS's Shanan Tomuri scoring the winning touchdown against Rotorua Boys' High School on the final hooter to take the 6 - 5 win.  The final was much more one-sided, with HBHS beating Hastings Boys' High School 6 - 1 in a dominant performance.  HBHS players Mikaere Beattie, Isaac Te Tamaki, Legin Hotham, and Shanan Tomuri were named in the Tournament Team, and Legin Hotham was named Player of the Tournament.  This is the 6th National Title for the team with 5 of these wins coming in the last 6 years.  Congratulations to the team on rounding out a stellar year for HBHS, and thanks and congratulations to coaches Mr Nigel Hotham and Mr Mita Graham.
