HBHS Riders dominate at Rotorua Motocross
On the 17th of March over 300 secondary school students from across the North Island attended the annual Rotorua Secondary School Motocross Tournament.
The HBHS Motocross team had 13 participants, ranging from International level riders through to students entering their first competitive race.
Stand-out individual results are as follows: James Scott (Year 11) 1st place 15-18yr old 125, Seton Head (Year 11) 4th place 15-18yr old 125, Jack Dunlop (Year 10) 4th place 13-14yr old 125, Joshua Clausen (Year 11) 5th place 15-18yr old 250, Mason Schroder (Year 9) 3rd place novice 85, Caleb Richardson (Year 11) 11th place 15-18yr old 250 and Micheal Henry (Year 11) 2nd place in the support class.
Hamilton Boys High School won the event due to the strong and consistent results gained throughout the day.
The HBHS Motocross teams looks forward to competing at the first round of the MNZ Secondary School Championship held at Patetonga on the 8th of April.
