HBHS Performers win prizes at Sheilah Winn National Shakespeare Festival
This Queen's Birthday weekend, our Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Performance group represented the Waikato region at the annual National Shakespeare Festival held in Wellington at the St James Theatre. The boys literally walked in the footsteps of Sir Laurence Olivier as they took to the stage, and two of our actors brought back prizes for their efforts. On the left, Spencer Littlewood won the Speech Communication Association Award for Outstanding Delivery of the Text, and at right, Matthew Stimpson won the Bit Part Player Who Best Supports Other Players Award in memory of Curby del Monte. Congratulations to these boys and to all of the performers on their efforts, and thanks and congratulations to Mr Shannon Brown, Ms Charlotte Warren and Mrs Mala Varma on their efforts in helping the boys to make it to the National Festival.
