HBHS Clay Target Shooting Team makes a great start to their season

The HBHS Clay Target Shooting team have been notching up the wins in their first three shoots of 2017.  Auckland in March saw the A squad of Patrick Turner (Year 13), Mac Livingstone (Year 11), Andrew Wilson (Year 10), Xavier Kimpton (Year 11) and Ethan Rendall (Year 11) come second as a team from a field of 30 teams.  Andrew Wilson came 3rd overall shooting 88/90 and Jonty Parrott (Year 10) shot the highest score for a first year shooter. In May the team headed to Taupo where Mac Livingstone won the HOA (highest overall) with A score of 89/90 from a field of 135 shooters from as far afield as Palmerston North and Auckland.  The A squad finished 3rd as a team.  Last month in Thames saw the A squad finish second and the B squad of Harrison Brown (Year 11), Matthew Mahoney (Year 11), Jed Pirret (Year 10), Noah White (Year 12) and Thomas Bates (Year 12) came 3rd.  Andrew Wilson won the individual event HOA  (highest overall) shooting a perfect score of 90/90.  The team next compete in Matamata on Thursday this week.
