HBHS Clay Target Shooters compete at the New Zealand Clay Target Open Nationals

A few of the HBHS Clay target team competed at the recent New Zealand Open National Championships held in Hamilton a couple of weeks ago.

Nat Aitchison won the Open B-grade single barrel event shooting 49/50 targets with one shot.

Andrew Wilson won the Junior Single Rise trophy after shooting 173 targets in a row without missing, completing a long run of 272 targets without missing.

He was also a member of the 3 person Junior North Island team which beat the South Island Juniors on Thursday.

Based on cumulative qualifying scores over 3 days of shooting, Andrew made the New Zealand Junior (under 21) MacIntosh team which went on to shoot on Saturday. Placing will be advised in July.

Andrew has also been selected to compete for New Zealand at the Oceania DTL Championships later this year in May.
