Golds at NZ Paralympics
Jesse Reynolds (pictured right) and Jacob Phillips (both Yr 10) recent achieved outstanding results at the 38th Paralympic National Championships, held in Hamilton from the 3rd-6th November.
Both boys did very well, especially Jacob as this was his first National event. Jacob’s athletics results are as follows:
200m, third, bronze
400m, third, bronze
100m, fourth
Jesse Reynolds attained both gold and a new New Zealand paralympic record for the 100m butterfly. This was a great achievement as he beat the current Olympic champion Daniel Sharp. His other results are listed below:
200 individual medley, gold and a New New Zealand paralympic record
400m freestyle, gold and a new New Zealand paralympic record
100m backstroke, gold
50m butterfly, gold
100m freestyle, gold
