Four HBHS Colts in NZ Under 15s

Jackson Ruffley (Year 10), Issac Nicholson (Year 10), Dominick Edwards (Year 10, pictured) and Nephi Harrison (Year 10) have all be selected for the New Zealand Under 15 side to play Singapore and Malaysia next week.  Each student was drawn for the 2010 HBHS Colts.  This team, coached by Paul Nixon, played the recent season without dropping a point, securing them both the Knockout Cup and the League title. 

We are delighted that the boys will get the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on an international stage.  This will be the second foray beyond New Zealand during 2010 for Dominick Edwards, who was in the UK throughout August.  He travelled to some of the most important football hubs in England, and had the opportunity to trial at Barnesley and Huddersfield as a future scholarship prospect.  We wish each of the boys well, and will report on their progress once the competition starts.

If you would like to help towards the costs associated with this trip, there will be a fundraiser for the boys next Tuesday at Smith & McKenzie Chophouse in Hamilton, from 7.00pm.  Signed memorabilitia will be auctioned off.  Tickets are $20.00 and include a drink.
