Jesse had an awesome time and said it was a great experience, although 160 disabled swimmers in the pool for warm up was like training in a dodgems race or in the bumper boat pool! Meeting many athletes from different cultures was a great experience; the majority did not speak English, so sign language and charades were the best way to communicate. The French, Russian & Ecuadorian teams were hotel buddies with the Kiwis, so getting to know them was a load of laughs.
Now all Jesse has to do is catch up on his school work!
