Cycling success at Nationals!
The HBHS cycling team have returned from the New Zealand Secondary School National Championships after doing HBHS proud!
The highlight was the retention of the Junior (Under 16) Team Time Trial (Paul Matthews) Cup. The team of Kiaan Watts, Archie Martin, Drew Christensen and Fergus Washington-Smith beat the winning 2015 HBHS team’s course record by 50 seconds.
Other results:
Sam Cook won Silver in the Under 17 National Road Race Championship.
Noah Costar won Bronze in the Under 17 National Road Race Championship.
Kiaan Watts won Gold and the Under 16 (Ian McKinlay) National Points Race Championship Trophy.
Sam Cook won Bronze in the Under 17 National Points Race Championship. All members of the team finished in the top 10 with Burnie McGrath placed 4th, Noah Costar placed 7th and Timmy Ng placed 8th.
The Senior Team Time Trial Team placed 6th in the Senior Team Time Trial.
